Ferrari Dino appeared on an Australian website on the 2nd of April 2008. According to the website, the Dino will be shown off at the Paris Motor Show.It has been confirmed that the new Dino will have around 400 to 500 horsepower (370 kW) and rumours of a top speed of 218 mph (350 km/h).It will be shown at the Paris automotive show in 5 months. There have been spy shots of what seem to be chopped down F430s and 599 Fioranos. Ferrari continually denied the existence of a new "Dino", and eventually the spied car was revealed to be the new Ferrari California (internally referred to as the F149).
The Ferrari Dino engine is a line of mechanically similar V6, V8, and V12 engines produced by Ferrari for the past 40 years. The Dino V6 was Ferrari's first V6 engine. The Dino V8 engine was introduced later. The V8 engines all used a flat-plane crankshaft configuration.
